Introduction To The Genrenomicon

Introduction To The Genrenomicon

The Epic of Gilgamesh, among the oldest known written works, is inhabited by monstrous creatures. It details superhuman feats and magic. The imaginings of the human race have ever brought forth fantastic visions. Captured by the written word, the ideas are transferred from scribe to reader. Through this telepathy - by - text, we bear witness to the inner minds of others.

An intimate medium, writing conveys true sense experience - we feel the bite of the beast, the swipe of the sword, the crushing heat of the sun, and the frigid sting of arctic wind. We are privy to futures possible and impossible, the past unknown, and worlds beyond reckoning.

These infinite thoughts, born from innumerable creative minds, fill countless books. Collectively, these works are the Genrenomicon. Heretofore are my journeys through its endless pages.
